Angela, the Plant Celebrity of Wuxi 🌟
It started off great: at the Wuxi plant fair, our own Angela was a true celebrity. Seriously, people were queuing for her autograph and wanted their pictures taken with her en masse. We practically had to protect her from her own fans (and that at a plant fair!).
And it got even more international: none other than DocBlock from America flew over especially, along with his wife Michelle (after whom the beautiful DocBlock Anthurium is named!). It was a real treat to share the stage with such big names from the world of exclusive houseplants and rare anthuriums.

Plant Love in Overdrive
Even before the booth was finished, we were overrun with enthusiastic plant enthusiasts. The rarest houseplants, exclusive cuttings, and baby plants from our collection were sold in no time. Some visitors even pressed their noses against the glass until the doors opened – that's how much love there is for unique plants in China!
On adventure: nurseries & laboratories
After the fair, Angela and I went on a tour of various nurseries and state-of-the-art laboratories. There, we saw the most bizarre hybrids and rare species—some of which we saw for the first time in our lives. The best part? We were able to take a few of these special specimens back to the Netherlands! There are even unique hybrids among them that will soon appear in our webshop (keep an eye on our collection of exclusive houseplants, rare houseplants, and baby plants!).

Inspiration & Collaborations
The trip was full of inspiration for new additions to our range. We also established wonderful partnerships with growers and researchers, allowing us to offer even more exclusive houseplants, unique cuttings, and rare plants. And who knows... maybe even Casa Botanica plants in China soon?!

Heartwarming hospitality
What struck us most? The incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the Chinese people. Everywhere we went, we were welcomed with open arms, helped, and shown around. We truly felt at home on the other side of the world.

In short: this trip was a botanical fairytale full of new friendships, rare houseplants, exclusive cuttings, and fresh ideas. We can't wait to share everything with you – both in the webshop and on our social media. Stay tuned for the first sneak peeks of the new arrivals and unique baby plants!
