Exclusive and Excellent

Our plants are exclusive and rare, which means they often have more specific needs than the average houseplant. Think of it as a luxury beauty: with a little extra love (and the right care), they truly show how special they are. Consider the right spot with plenty of light, stable humidity, careful watering, and proper nutrition at the right time. If you give them that attention, you'll be rewarded with healthy growth, beautiful leaves, and a plant that remains a real eye-catcher for years to come.

Pot & soil: The right foundation

Always use a pot with drainage holes and a light, well-draining potting soil. Our plants love a mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coconut fiber – just what they are used to in nature.

Water: Dose with love 💧

Better to give too little than too much water. The roots of tropical plants do not like wet feet! Always feel the soil: is the top layer dry? Then you can water. Preferably use rainwater or filtered water, as they are especially happy with that.

Light: Let them shine!

Most of our special plants love plenty of (indirect) light. So place them by a window, but not directly in the bright sun – that can be a bit too much even for a tropical diva. Do you have a plant with variegated leaves? They often love light even more! Note: Some plants, like Anthuriums and Alocasias, can develop sensitive leaves from direct sunlight. Do you see brown edges? Then give them a slightly shadier spot.

Nutrition: Provide growth power

During the growing season (March to September), you can give them some plant food every month. Use a mild, universal fertilizer and stick to the recommended dosage. In winter? It's a rest period for the plant, so food can go back in the cupboard for a while.

Humidity: Spa!

Our exclusive plants love high humidity. Group them together, use a humidifier, or pamper them occasionally with a spray. Especially Anthuriums, Hoyas, and Alocasias are true spa lovers!

Pest Control: Keeping an Eye Out

Regularly check your plants for pests like spider mites, thrips, or aphids. Do you see something suspicious? Isolate the plant and treat it immediately with an eco-friendly solution. Prevention is better than cure!

Repotting: Room to Grow

Give your plant a new pot every 1-2 years, especially if you see roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. This keeps your plant healthy and allows it to grow nicely again.
